Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. Manager, Compensation opening to join the Total Rewards COE in our human resources organization. In this role you will consult with leadership in some of our major regional areas, design programs, processes and lead projects that have a global impact. You will partner closely with related compensation functions such as executive compensation, sales compensation, stock plan administration, human resource operations and regional compensation resources around the world. You will research evolving compensation practices in the external marketplace, design and develop broad-based compensation programs (base pay, short-term incentives, etc.), design and provide guidance on special programs (severance, retention, etc.), provide consultative guidance to human resources and business leadership, deliver clear and consistent communications to key stakeholder groups and handle other work items as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research evolving compensation practices in the external marketplace and provide guidance/recommendations to Leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design, and roll-out broad-based compensation programs (base pay, short-term incentives, severance, retention, etc.)
  • Work independently to drive and manage projects across multiple functions and client groups, utilizing subject matter expertise and knowledge of both internal and external business practices to improve the employee experience
  • Work regularly and comfortably with high-level individual contributors and leaders across multiple functions.  Track record of influencing at the senior leadership level.
  • Extensive experience with compensation surveys and consulting firms
  • Design programs, processes and lead projects that have a global impact
  • Advise and partner with HR business partners and org leaders on compensation program rollouts
  • Ability to manage change effectively always mindful of technology and business process implications
  • A proven track record in leading global projects in compensation
  • Deliver clear and consistent communications to key stakeholder groups, including manager training
  • Partner closely with related Compensation functions such as Executive Compensation, Sales Compensation, HR Operations, HRIS, Stock Plan Administration, Global Mobility and regional Compensation departments around the world
  • Monitor and implement changes to ensure compliance with global pay regulations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures recommending plan revisions
  • Rollout and maintain global job architecture
  • Create effective, scalable, and easy to understand global compensation metrics to support compensation programs
  • Participate in M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration activities
  • Partner with the Talent team to seamlessly align approaches to performance with compensation practices as well as enable the execution via developing world-class compensation education programs
  • Convert data outcomes into insights and executive ready presentations to senior leaders
  • Other work items as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Finance or relevant field
  • 8-10 years of experience in Compensation
  • Experience leading the work direction of others
  • Proven experience acting as a subject matter expert to the business
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Strong team orientation with a collaborative style

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in the design of Compensation programs and processes
  • Ability to influence and drive results within all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in the design and delivery of communication programs
  • Experience with vendor evaluation and selection
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
