As an Associate Principal in the Organizational Strategy Team you will be part of a board range of Organization effectiveness and transformation engagements, supporting several of the activities and outcomes listed below:

  • Supporting the “translation” of strategic direction onto organizational construct and organizational capabilities
  • Designing and rolling out organizational heath checks and diagnostics
  • Understanding the links between leadership, structure, talent and culture.
  • Creating business cases that describe the drivers and case for change, the change timeline and impact as well as the specific benefits to be realized via change
  • Assessing the change readiness organization prior to change
  • Highlighting areas of change identified by the program team e.g. new processes, new roles, and organization structure changes, and ensures that appropriate actions are undertaken to manage the impact of such areas (change impact assessment)
  • Developing detailed change management plans including communications, risk mitigation, organizational alignment, stakeholder management, organization design, behavior change, change agents, education, training and measurement
  • Engaging key stakeholders in the business to ensure that there is a clear and consistent understanding of the objectives and outcomes of the project
  • Working with and coaching leaders in our clients to implement these change management plans

Associate Principals will typically work on project teams with more experienced practitioners and business development colleagues to deliver solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

Individuals at this level exercise judgment in understanding client issues and customizing solutions to fit. They have developed a level of presence and maturity that means they take the lead on defined aspects of a project or business development activity.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Typically a relevant higher (Master’s or Doctorate) degree plus (c. 5 years) relevant work experience in a consultancy and/or a client HR function. Alternatively, significant work experience (c. 5 years) in a top tier professional services firm.
  • Is recognized as a go-to person in a defined ‘major’ discipline and is able to scope, design and deliver non-standard solutions to meet client needs. Able to lead core service line work activities with large, complex and/or important clients.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of clients/industries supported and apply business offerings at the senior level.
