Duties and Responsibilities

  • This role provides exposure to all the foundational HR functional skills. The successful candidate will join in this role to develop as a leader and then later advance to other HR roles within the company, which is why mobility is strongly requested.
  • This Human Resources Business Partner will begin by supporting the Cleveland, OH, Mentor, OH and LaGrange, GA manufacturing facilities as the first line of support for all of their HR needs.
  • This role will provide leadership and support in the areas of recruitment, employment, personnel records, employee and/ labor relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, employee development, training, AAP/EEO and special projects.
  • This HRBP will serve as a strategic and tactical business partner to the Plant leadership team and assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings.
  • This role reports to the Senior Human Resources Partner supporting Henkel’s General Industries and Consumer Adhesives Businesses and Distribution Centers.


  • BS/BA in Human Resource Management or related field.  Master’s Degree is a plus
  • 10 years HR generalist experience and 5 plus years of experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus
  • Strong and successful leadership, communication, interpersonal, time management skills are required
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications. SAP experience a plus
  • Knowledgeable of applicable Human Resources and Regulatory policies and issues.
  • Experience with High Performance Work Systems in a team based work environment.
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion.
  • Willing to be relocated in the future is strongly desired
