Job Description

We are looking for an events manager who will support our Talent Acquisition team as they continue to identify and attract top talent around the globe. This individual will oversee and manage recruiting events at conference and trade shows as well Netflix-owned events, including meetups, mixers and VIP dinners. A good fit for this role is someone who has a candid and direct communication style, has experience partnering with talent acquisition teams to create impactful events, metrics-driven, quickly admits to mistakes and questions values inconsistent with Netflix’s values.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the recruiters and hiring managers to identify key conferences and events and define objectives
  • Concept, plan and manage onsite logistics for events throughout the U.S.
  • Conduct venue research and site visits, negotiate contracts and manage third party vendors, including catering, equipment rentals, AV and swag
  • Provide post mortem event recaps and detailed metrics to determine the value of each event
  • Create and manage run-of-show schedules, budgets and Talent Acquisition team metrics and quarterly recaps
  • Manage events ranging from 40 – 500 people with event budgets ranging from $5k – $150k


  • 5+ years of events management experience
  • Experience working with talent acquisition teams and partnering with recruiters on events
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to work across various level of the organization while building trust and fostering collaboration
  • Experience managing event budgets
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and lead several event simultaneously
  • Creative with a strong desire to enhance events, bring new ideas to the table and challenge current approaches and strategies
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Very organized, a strong problem-solver and solutions-oriented
  • Willingness to dive into any task and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%)
