Job Description

The incumbent to this position will also support certain clients as a C&B consultant in the region. The role will proactively partner with HR Business Partners, Management and other stakeholders to develop and achieve compensation objectives that align to a complex and dynamic business model. The role will focus on providing compensation consultation to HR and the business related to compensation and benefits policies and programs with compliance understanding. The position will leverage central practices to support country/region specific compensation and benefits programs to align with global and regional strategies and business requirements while understanding locally relevant market conditions and practices. The successful candidate should be results oriented and flexible with the ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent of the role will carry the following responsibilities:
· Expertise in leading (global or regional) C&B consultation with majority of experience of global expansions or new country set ups for business and service units across the globe
· Experience driving C&B consultation or implementation for projects related to new geographies and businesses
· Demonstrates Customer Obsession: Possesses strong business acumen and drives expansion project management with customer interests as focal point
· Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and discretion through ambiguous phases of expansion project development
· Possesses working knowledge of employment laws and market practice within regional geographies, partners effectively with local HR and employment legal resources to incorporate local practice into project planning.
· Point of contact and subject matter expert for compensation including FTEs, contractors, consultants and campus hiring
· Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives
· Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay and stock compensation
· Conduct job matching and benchmarking to analyse the company’s competitive market position
· Partner with the global compensation and benefit teams on C&B issues, and work on a variety of special compensation and benefits projects as neededProven ability to influence and drive results laterally and remotely-through HR and cross-functional colleagues. Ability to influence effectively with Regional-level partners and leaders of specialist central function teams (eg Compensation + Benefits, Payroll, HR Services)

· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates humility and openness to multiple perspectives in leading project decision making. Ability to work effectively across business/service lines and varying cultures
Good understanding of the principles and practices of compensation and benefits systems and legislation in India
· Knows basic taxation laws applying to compensation in India and APAC
· Ability to effectively manage communication and relationships in matrix organization structure
· Highly proficient in Excel; familiarity with PeopleSoft will be an advantage
· A Bachelor’s degree is required


· Expansions and mergers experience across the globe especially in APAC is preferred
· HR or business line experience in multiple geographies is strongly preferred
· Highly detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture
· Proven experience in leading/overseeing complex corporate or multi-business level initiatives/projects
· Ability to work independently, take on responsibility and be quick of foot in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal presentations that demonstrate business acumen and ability to influence multi-functional stakeholders
